Located at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains, De Cango Farm is the ideal destination for decerning travellers who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life to relax and recharge while they enjoy the beauty of the Klein Karoo.

De Cango Farm is centrally located for easy exploration of the Klein Karoo with day trips to Prince Albert, Calitzdorp, Oudtshoorn and De Rust. This singular area is renowned for its ostriches, olive- and wine farms, Rust en Vrede waterfall, Wilgewandel and of course the Cango Caves, where the farm’s name originated from.

Our working farm grows lucerne and lavender and is home to herds of antelope and buffalo. We are so proud to run exclusively on solar power, wood-burning stove and gas. This off-the-grid approach has been echoed in the building of materials used to create our forest-bound guest cottages, which have been crafted from natural rock and black wattle wood harvested on the farm itself.

These six units are set amid the Klein Karoo landscape with balconies overlooking the tranquil nature scenes of De Cango Farm. Each unit has its own bathroom facilities with an outside shower and toiletries. The bath is within the room, but the toilet is enclosed. Units include free WiFi, a fridge, gas kettle, coffee plunger, filter coffee, bedding and towels.

The main area is situated over the farm’s dam with uninterrupted views of the Swartberg Mountains. It offers convivial open-plan indoor and outdoor living areas.
Visitors can expect the freshest, cleanest water, channelled directly from our mountains into our dams and on-site water system. Our gardens are also filled with beautiful water wise, indigenous plants from the area.
